General Function

The Team Lead delivers exceptional customer service, ensuring customer and patient satisfaction, and manages key optical and lab processes to achieve store success.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
Retail Responsibilities
  • Ensure excellent customer service
  • Provide product recommendations and assist sales associates
  • Serve as an alternate store key holder
Lab Responsibilities (if applicable)
  • Custom fit glasses and place prescriptions in lenses
  • Support team knowledge and skills in lens and lab technology
  • Ensure eyewear meets standards and customer requirements
  • Maintain a safe working environment and proper lab tool operation
Basic Qualifications
  • HS diploma/GED
  • Optical and retail experience
  • Knowledge of optical theory and merchandise
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic math and sales skills
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Experience with cash registers, computers, and calculators
  • Leadership and training experience
  • Optical measurement experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • State licensure or ABO Certification
  • LensCrafters Certification and experience with optical machinery
  • Customer service experience
  • Digital measurement system certification
  • Knowledge of store merchandise and lens options
