GENERAL FUNCTION

The Licensed Optician creates exceptional value by delivering Signature Customer Experiences, ensuring customers are delighted, and developing the optical skills of others.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide unsurpassed Customer Service by executing our CEE Service Model: Connect, Explore, Exceed
• Support problem solving and troubleshooting
• Engage patients and customers using technology to enhance experiences
• Deliver the Diamond Service Principles and set a customer service tone
• Anticipate and resolve customer problems, develop long-term solutions
• Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses suited to their needs and budget
• Show patience and courtesy, answer questions, and assist co-workers
• Educate customers on LensCrafters’ guarantees and services
• Take measurements, adjust eyewear, ensure quality standards
• Operate POS systems accurately, handle transactions securely
• Maintain store appearance and visual displays according to planograms
• Foster positive relationships with store management and Macy's hosts

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• State licensure or certification by a recognized opticianry association
• Optical dispensing experience
• Knowledge of optical theory, merchandise, and inventory systems
• Strong communication skills, awareness of fashion trends
• Proficiency with technology and sales tools like IPAD/tablets

Preferred Qualifications

• Studying LensCrafters Quality, Fitting, and Adjusting Program
• Previous customer service and retail experience

Pay Range: $25.69 - $38.27. Compensation depends on various factors including location, experience, and qualifications. Benefits may include health care, retirement, paid time off, and discounts.
