Role Overview

The Licensed Optician helps establish LensCrafters as the premier destination for vision needs by delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality eyewear that exceeds expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Welcome customers and set expectations.
2. Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
3. Lead in optical expertise and assist with complex product needs.
4. Take and record measurements, adjust eyewear with attention to detail, and ensure standards are met.
5. Use technology efficiently under time constraints, demonstrating product knowledge.
6. Proactively identify root causes of issues, think forward, and ensure customer satisfaction.
7. Manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
8. Achieve results aligned with Brand KPIs and competencies.
9. Maintain store appearance and safety practices.
10. Continuously learn and adhere to company policies, including discounts and inventory management.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• State Licensure
• Optical dispensing experience
• Strong customer service skills
• Knowledge of store merchandise and fashion trends
• Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems and technology
• Adaptability to new technology and processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer service and retail experience
