GENERAL FUNCTION

The Assistant Manager acts as a leader in the absence of, or in support of, the Store Manager. They behave as a business owner within the marketplace and LensCrafters organization, representing the brand as the premier destination for vision needs and delivering key performance metrics.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Achieve and improve key performance indicators (KPIs):
    • Comp Sales, % Sales to Plan, Conversion & Customer Count, Comp Growth, Increased Traffic, Store Operating Profitability, Continuity of Care, Exam Growth & Retention Goals, Net Promoter Score, Yearly Objectives
  2. Understand retail business dynamics to drive sales and market understanding.
  3. Support store business plans to maximize sales and profit.
  4. Partner with the Store Manager to lead and develop the team.
  5. Provide clear, constructive, and timely feedback; collaborate on team development.
  6. Execute visual directives and maintain store appearance.
  7. Maintain positive relationships with doctors and other partners.
  8. Ensure team compliance with all policies.
  9. Perform administrative duties as required.
  10. Work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of management/supervisory experience with direct reports.
  • Knowledge of retail operations, processes, and policies.
  • Strong basic math skills.
  • Familiarity with cash registers, computers, and calculators.
  • Proficiency in English for communication.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • High-level selling skills.
  • Proven problem-solving ability.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • College degree or equivalent.
  • Leadership experience in retail and customer service industries.
  • Knowledge of basic optics and store merchandise.
  • State licensure and/or ABO Certification (if applicable).
  • Brand Final Inspector Certification.
  • Experience with Brand Quality, Fitting & Adjusting Program.

Pay Range: -29.61

Employee pay depends on various factors including location, experience, and qualifications. Benefits may include health care, retirement, paid time off, and employee discounts. Additional compensation may include bonuses and commissions.
