Merchants Bank is seeking a Lending Assistant to support the Loan Department in a hands-on, on-site role across Minnesota locations. You will handle loan documentation, data gathering, and coordination with lenders, ensuring accurate and timely processing.

Ideal candidates are well-organized, customer-focused team players with proficiency in Word and Excel, and preferably banking experience with loan documentation.

Qualifications

• Organized and self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills are essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; banking background with loan documentation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Start loan process for requests and annual reviews in LendingCloud as directed by lenders or reports.
• Assist Loan Officers by obtaining required information for loans (UCC search, appraisals, title searches, etc.).
• Request loan documents for closings and complete checklists prior to loan closing; perform QA checks.
• Assist at closing by typing cashierills, preparing documents, and following up post-closing.
