Job summary

The Lending Specialist at LPL Financial in Tempe will support our Secured Credit Account and margin lending offerings, acting as the subject-matter expert for Advisors and coordinating with service teams to resolve client issues. You will guide product use across loan origination, draws, payments, and closures while ensuring compliance and strong client service.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Finance or related field, 5+ years in financial services, and a Series 7 license.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience within financial services (wealth management context) with knowledge of securities-backed lending and margin.
  • Series 7 License.
  • Track record of providing exceptional support to client-facing financial professionals and their teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as SCA and margin product expert and support Advisor inquiries, including product characteristics, benefits, risks, and positioning.
  • Guide Advisors on system usage from loan origination to account closure; manage lifecycle tasks.
  • Support Advisors in client meetings related to SCA and Margin.
  • Manage interest rate discount requests for SCA and Margin.
  • Handle lending product policy exceptions and escalations.
  • Collaborate with Regional Banking and Lending Consultants to transition external loans to LPL.
  • Provide feedback to the Product Manager, Lending Solutions for continuous improvement.

Job Overview

The Lending Specialist

is a critical role within the Banking & Lending organization. Our aspiration at LPL is to be the best firm in Wealth Management. To deliver on this, we are investing in best-in-class banking and lending solutions that will help advisors to serve their clients’ needs more holistically.


In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to support our portfolio of lending solutions and drive adoption within LPL’s industry-leading distribution network. Your primary focus will be to support our new Secured Credit Account (SCA) is a securities-based line of credit which provides Advisors with a new liquidity tool to help their clients take advantage of an opportunity to invest in a new business or real estate or meet an unexpected expense – all without disrupting their investment portfolio strategy. You will be part of a team that plays a critical role in the day-to-day operation of SCA and the delivery of an exceptional Advisor experience.


Responsibilities


  • Serve as SCA and margin product expert and support Advisor inquiries, including, but not limited to:

  • Key product characteristics, benefits, risks, and positioning;

  • How to use the systems and technology that support these products over the product life cycle from loan origination, loan draws, loan payments, to account closure; and

  • Product policies and procedures.

  • Serve as first point of contact to help Advisors with inquiries and requests impacting other LPL service and support teams and to resolve client issues, concerns, and time-sensitive requests.

  • Support Advisors in client meetings related to SCA and Margin.

  • Manage interest rate discount requests for SCA and Margin.

  • Manage lending product policy exception requests and escalations.

  • Collaborate with Regional Banking and Lending Consultants to help new Advisors transition external client loans to LPL.

  • Provide feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement to the Product Manager, Lending Solutions.

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience within financial services (preferably in a wealth management context) with strong knowledge of securities-backed lending and margin.

  • Series 7 License.

  • Track record of providing exceptional support and service to client-facing financial professionals and their teams.

Pay Range

$63,242.00 - $105,369.00


Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
