PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $25.67-$31.30 hourly. The full Pay Range is $21.11-$37.07 hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Employees and their eligible family members have access to a wide array of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage. Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. As a Lending Solutions Specialist at BECU, you’ll be the trusted financial guide who helps members thrive. You’ll use your lending expertise to deliver personalized solutions that empower members in achieving their financial goals—whether they’re buying a home, growing a business, or consolidating debt. By focusing on high-value relationships, you’ll strengthen member trust, drive engagement, and make a tangible difference in their financial journey. Your role isn't just about processing loans—it’s about building lasting relationships and providing thoughtful, proactive service that reflects BECU’s mission to put members first.
Advise with Confidence: Leverage your knowledge of BECU's lending products and services to guide members toward solutions that meet their unique needs.
Be the Lending Expert: Serve as a go-to resource for consumer, real estate secured, and business loan products, offering members clarity and confidence in their borrowing decisions.
Drive Member Engagement: Build and deepen relationships using BECU’s Member Advantage and other programs to ensure each interaction provides value and fosters long-term engagement.
Lead with Insight: Conduct thorough loan interviews, complete accurate loan applications, and ensure all documentation is clear, complete, and ready for underwriting review.
Navigate Real Estate Lending: For real estate-secured loans, determine the appropriate appraisal path and deliver automated valuations when suitable.
Champion Financial Service Excellence: Provide members with prompt, courteous, and professional service. Resolve concerns quickly while ensuring members feel heard and valued.
Maximize Member Value: Prioritize lending opportunities that drive value for members and BECU by identifying high-impact transactions and relationships.
Collaborate for Success: Work cross-functionally with internal teams to enhance product offerings, improve processes, and create a seamless member experience.
Master the Process: Accurately process loan applications using BECU’s lending system, ensuring compliance with disclosures and collecting all necessary documentation upfront.
Mentor and Inspire: Support new team members by sharing your expertise in lending products, procedures, and systems to help them grow and succeed.
Adapt and Contribute: Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support team goals and member success.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience
Minimum two years of financial service sales experience, or three years combined experience with outbound sales and financial services
Solid understanding of the sales process and how to manage a sales pipeline efficiently
Proficient verbal and written communication skills to communicate
Effective analytical skills and math skills with a high degree of accuracy
Experience in originating Lending Applications
Comply with SAFE Act legislation, which requires annual registration as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO)
Thorough knowledge of all RESPA, HMDA, Fair Lending, ECOA, and HUD rules and regulations
Full-time hours required, with additional hours as necessary
Desired Qualifications:
Successful completion of the consumer loans and member service training program with a minimum of one year of experience as a Member Consultant (including loan interviewing, funding and processing) within BECU or another financial institution preferred
