Job summary

Service 1st Federal Credit Union is seeking a Centralized Lending Specialist I to assist in processing real estate and consumer loans from application to closing. You will review applications, prepare disclosures, and coordinate with lenders and settlement agents.

The role requires 1–3 years in financial lending, strong attention to detail, and effective communication. Hybrid/remote work is eligible after one year with supervisor approval.

Qualifications

• One year to three years of similar or related experience in a financial institution.
• Experience with loan processing, underwriting or lending operations is preferred.
• Knowledge of residential mortgage and consumer loan processes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Receive loan applications from lenders and review for accuracy, completeness and compliance.
• Prepare and distribute all necessary loan documentation including notices and disclosures.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements (HMDA, RESPA, flood regulations) for mortgage loans.
• Obtain payoffs and releases; order title searches and appraisals; update loan records.
• Provide service to borrowers and staff regarding processing, underwriting and closing.
• Maintain loan data and notes in the credit union information systems.
