Job summary

The State of Iowa's Legislative Services Agency (LSA) is seeking a software developer to build, test, and maintain applications, databases, and webpages for the Iowa General Assembly. This onsite, full-time role requires strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team under tight deadlines.

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Services or four years of relevant experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain computer application programs for the Legislature.
• Develop, test, and maintain databases for the Legislature.
• Interpret program specifications and develop reports, templates, and code; test/document to support usage.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems; ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Maintain initiative and attention to detail while meeting organizational goals.
