Zusammenfassung

The State of South Carolina Department of Public Health is seeking a Policy/Legislative Affairs assistant to help analyze and track legislative and regulatory matters, respond to inquiries, and develop updates for engagement with the General Assembly and stakeholders.

Under the Policy Director, you will support coordination of meetings, deadlines, and information requests, while providing general project and administrative assistance to the Office of Legislative Affairs.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma with relevant program experience; a bachelor's may substitute.
• Three years of bachelor’s study preferred in Political Science or related field.
• Higher learning must be recognized by CHEA; transcripts may be uploaded when applying.

Aufgaben

• Analyze, track, and coordinate legislative and regulatory matters for the Department.
• Respond to constituent and legislative inquiries in a timely manner.
• Develop updates, reports, and written materials supporting engagement with the General Assembly and stakeholders.
• Monitor legislation and regulatory activity, coordinate meetings and deadlines, and assist with inquiries.
• Provide project, operational, and administrative support for the Office of Legislative Affairs; assist with special projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Ausbildung

High school diploma with relevant program experience
