Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast seek a Game Designer to join the Game Design team. You will work on Magic sets, collaborating with designers to shape card design, mechanics, and product exploration across formats from Modern to Commander.

You’ll bring knowledge of Magic and a drive to refine gameplay, with a strong sense of curiosity and communication. This fulltime role sits in the Wizards TCG Studio, offering growth and a vibrant team environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional game design experience or equivalent gaming experience.
• Strong foundation in multiple Magic TCG formats.
• Play experience across Paper, MTGO, Arena, etc.
• Self-motivated curiosity, active listening and creative thinking.

Responsibilities

• Serve on a team of designers shaping one of our flagship sets.
• Review another set with your unique perspective.
• Iterate at a card-by-card level to deliver the best possible cycle or theme and gameplay.
• Participate in team meetings with constructive insights to the conversation.
