Hasbro, Inc. and Wizards of the Coast are seeking an Art Director who thrives at the intersection of fantasy art and premium print.

You’ll lead concepting and direction for collectible cards, partnering with production teams to turn bold ideas into manufacturable, print-ready designs. This hands-on role requires a strong portfolio in graphic design and art direction, deep knowledge of offset printing and specialty finishes, and fluency with InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional graphic design and/or art direction experience
• Experience with specialty print treatments and offset printing
• Portfolio demonstrating visual judgment, graphic design, art direction and print execution
• Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator; attention to print-ready files
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, balancing creativity with feasibility

Responsibilities

• Shape ideas as a team and drive concepting for collectible cards
• Pitch specialty print finishes and test concepts with creatives and print suppliers
• Provide clear creative direction to Production Artists from concept to final output
• Review print-ready files, proofs, and samples to ensure quality and consistency

Are you excited by the possibilities of combining compelling design with innovative print techniques? The Magic TCG Studio is looking for an Art Director who is passionate about fantasy art, physical product design, and exploring how specialty print can bring extraordinary collectible cards to life.

This is a tactical, hands-on role where you’ll explore visual treatments and card-frame designs while exploring how offset printing, specialty inks, materials, and finishes can become part of the creative expression. You’ll work closely with Production Artists and collaborate with creative, production, and manufacturing partners to turn creative ideas into exceptional collectible cards.

What You'll Do:

• Bring ideas, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit to shape ideas as a team.
• Concept and pitch specialty print finishes, partnering with creatives and print suppliers to test and refine concepts into compelling, manufacturable cards.
• Provide Production Artists with clear creative direction and constructive feedback from concept through final execution.
• Bring an analytical eye to print-ready files, print separations, proofs, and physical samples to anticipate how builds will come together and ensure quality.
• Explore visual trends, collectible products, materials, and emerging print technologies to bring new ideas to Magic.

What You'll Bring:

• 4+ years of professional graphic design and/or art direction experience, ideally with physical products, print, packaging, or collectibles.
• Hands-on experience developing specialty print treatments and a strong understanding of offset printing, prepress, color separations, materials, and finishing processes.
• A portfolio demonstrating strong visual judgment, graphic design, art direction, and physical print execution.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, with a strong eye for detail and experience preparing technically accurate print-production files.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to balance creative ambition with manufacturing feasibility and a passion for experimentation and continuous learning.

The pay transparency range for this role is listed below. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.

$109,100 - $180,600 USD
