Job summary

Macdonald & Cody, LLP, a California insurance defense litigation firm, seeks a driven Legal Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead recruiting across California offices (Irvine, Riverside, Monrovia, San Diego, Woodland Hills, Sausalito). You will build talent pipelines, source candidates, and partner with leadership.

Responsibilities include full-cycle recruitment, creating compelling job descriptions, interviewing candidates, presenting summaries to management, and supporting firm-wide

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ recruiting experience, preferably in legal industry.
• Strong candidate sourcing and interviewing skills with the ability to effectively assess candidates and communicate recommendations to hiring managers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate candidate and hiring information.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive and confidential candidate and employee information.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
• Experience recruiting within a multi-office or geographically dispersed organization is preferred.
• Ability to travel.

• Proactive sourcing for hard-to-fill attorney positions.
• Recruit for a broad range of positions, including Attorneys, Paralegals, Legal Secretaries, and other office hiring needs.
• Develop and post compelling job descriptions across the firm's website site and external job boards.
• Source, identify, and engage qualified candidates through job boards, professional networks, referrals, and other recruiting channel/pipelines.
• Conduct initial candidate phone interviews and assess candidates against position requirements.
• Present qualified candidates to management and provide candidate summaries and recommendations.
• Support firmwide recruiting initiatives, special projects, and other offices as business needs require.
• Attend state and nationwide legal functions and networking events.

Macdonald & Cody, LLP is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Legal Talent Acquisition Specialist to play a key role in our firm’s continued growth. Working directly with firm leadership, you’ll lead recruiting efforts across our California offices, build strong talent pipelines, and identify exceptional legal professionals who will help shape the future of our firm.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range: $85,000 -$100,000 actual salary will depend on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
