Job description

Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C., a dynamic and expanding law firm with a national footprint, seeks an organized, proactive, and collaborative Legal, Talent Acquisition Business Partner to join our firm’s administration team. Reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources, this individual will take operational ownership of full-lifecycle recruitment for business services staff, coordinate early-career attorney programs, and execute firm-wide onboarding and employee experience initiatives across our multi-office footprint.

This role is designed for an emerging talent acquisition professional ready to step into an autonomous operational seat, partner with practice group leaders, and manage the firm’s hiring and onboarding workflows day to day.

Full-Lifecycle Attorney & Staff Recruitment
  • Drive full-lifecycle recruitment for lateral attorneys (associates and counsel), legal support staff, paralegals, and business services professionals across all firm practice groups and office locations.
  • Partner directly with Practice Group Leaders, Principals, and department managers to define candidate profiles, develop targeted search strategies, calibrate qualifications, and establish interview timelines.
  • Actively source passive attorney talent and business services professionals utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter, legal job boards, specialty bar associations, and referral networks.
  • Screen resumes, conduct initial phone/video interviews, evaluate candidate credentials, and compile structured candidate dossiers and interview summaries for hiring committees.
  • Manage attorney pre-employment due diligence, including bar admissions verification, background checks, conflict clearance questionnaires, and writing sample/deal sheet collections.
  • Coordinate the formal offer process for attorneys and staff, including salary verification, market alignment, offer letter preparation, and partner approval.
  • Manage external legal search firm relationships, coordinate fee agreements, track agency submissions, and ensure adherence to placement guidelines.
Recruitment Operations & Interview Coordination
  • Direct end-to-end interview logistics and complex calendar scheduling for multi-round attorney and staff interviews across practice groups, offices, and time zones (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and on-site).
  • Build and manage multi-partner interview panels, proactively de-conflicting busy attorney court/deposition schedules and providing real-time calendar management.
  • Serve as the hospitable, primary point of contact for lateral attorney and staff candidates, delivering professional itineraries, firm overviews, prep materials, and prompt status updates.
  • Ensure real-time candidate stage tracking, evaluation form distribution, and compliance recordkeeping within the applicant tracking system (ADP).
  • Serve as the primary operational coordinator for the firm’s annual Summer Associate Program and Undergraduate Internship Program across all offices.
  • Manage law school outreach, On-Campus Interview (OCI) registrations, resume screening distribution, callback interview marathons, and hospitality logistics.
  • Partner with firm Principals and the Hiring Committee to plan and execute summer cohort orientation, mock trials/exercises, social calendars, work assignment tracking, and mid-summer and exit evaluations
Onboarding & Employee Experience
  • Deliver a standardized, welcoming onboarding program for all new firm hires, guiding them through firm culture, policies, benefits, and operational technology.
  • Coordinate start dates, orientation agendas, workspace setup, and IT provision alongside local office administrators.
  • Serve as the primary HR liaison for the firm’s Culture Committee, coordinating monthly employee engagement initiatives, recognition events, and seasonal cultural programming firm wide.
  • Ensure all recruitment and onboarding workflows maintain absolute confidentiality and comply with federal, state, and local employment laws across all office jurisdictions.
  • Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or another related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with at least 2 to 3 years focused on legal recruitment (law firm or legal agency) or corporate in-house talent acquisition.
  • Direct exposure to attorney hiring workflows, associate lateral pipelines, or law school OCI/Summer Associate program execution is strongly preferred.

  • Hands-on proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred).
  • Strong technical acumen with sourcing platforms (LinkedIn Recruiter) and enterprise scheduling/collaboration software (Microsoft 365, Outlook calendar management, Teams, Zoom).
  • Exceptional executive communication and interpersonal presence; demonstrated ability to partner credibly with law firm partners, senior counsel, and prospective lateral candidates.
  • Proven ability to coordinate high-volume, complex partner interview schedules under tight deadlines with absolute precision.
  • Strong organizational instincts, initiative, and the autonomy to advance concurrent attorney and staff searches independently.
  • Uncompromising discretion, judgment, and adherence to confidentiality regarding candidate identities, compensation terms, and partner hiring decisions.
