Job summary

Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) is offering a summer internship for students studying Law, Political Science, or related fields. You will work with the Legal & Federal Affairs team on research, drafting, and regulatory issues, gaining exposure to utility law and corporate governance.

The program includes on-site work in Little Rock, AR, with opportunities for mentorship, networking, and a final project presentation at summer’s end.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Law, Political Science, Environmental/Energy Policy, or related field.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Professional communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support legal projects, including research, drafting, and reviewing materials.
• Learn regulatory and corporate law basics and how they apply to utilities.
• Collaborate with attorneys and the Little Rock team on regulatory issues.
• Participate in policy research, contract language reviews, and governance tasks.
• Attend events and mentorship sessions to understand MISO's mission.
