Knowledge Builders Inc. is seeking a paralegal to support the Office of General Counsel and investigators, performing a range of clerical and substantive legal tasks.
The role involves scheduling hearings, maintaining case databases, compiling hearing files, drafting legal documents, and conducting legal research under supervision. Responsibilities include organizing case files, preparing subpoenas, filing legal memoranda, and assisting attorneys with hearing preparation and material resources.
Reporting to the General Counsel, First Deputy and Director of Trade Practices, the applicant will work in close association with investigators, Office of General Counsel (OGC) attorneys, respondents, court reporters, and other administrative staff, performing a variety of paralegal activities for OGC. Responsibilities may include scheduling hearings for attorneys and their investigators; maintaining databases and case tracking systems; compiling and organizing hearing files and records; preparing and assisting in the preparation of legal documents; conducting legal research; preparing subpoenas and correspondence.
