Gunster seeks a full-time Legal Research Analyst for its West Palm Beach office. This role serves as the firm's primary resource for legal, business, competitive intelligence, and investigative research, supporting attorneys and business professionals across all practice groups.

Under the Director of Knowledge Management, you will handle routine and complex research requests and analyze background and litigation developments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees (MLIS, JD) preferred.
Minimum 5 years of legal research or investigative research experience.
Proficiency with major legal research platforms and sources.
Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to synthesize complex information.

Responsibilities

Conduct legal, legislative, regulatory, business, and factual research across jurisdictions.
Perform in-depth background, news, litigation, and investigative research on individuals and entities.
Analyze court filings, dockets, public records, and SEC filings for relevance and accuracy.
Prepare concise reports, timelines, and intelligence briefs for attorneys.
Verify citations and sources for publications and client materials.
Conduct competitive intelligence and market research to support business development.
Develop and maintain monitoring alerts for litigation and regulatory developments.
Advise attorneys on research strategies and available resources.
Assist with training and documentation of research processes.
Support firm knowledge management initiatives.
