Job description

Mid-sized international law firm seeks a Legal Recruiting Manager to join their New York office. This role will manage all aspects of law student, entry-level, and lateral associate hiring across multiple U.S. offices. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and experienced in driving recruiting strategy within a law firm environment.

Salary: $175,000–$225,000

Schedule: Hybrid (in-office Tuesday–Thursday, 4 days/week during initial ramp-up)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage law student, entry-level, and lateral associate recruitment for U.S. offices
  • Lead all aspects of the summer associate program, including training, evaluations, and social events
  • Coordinate on-campus interviews, callbacks, and offer processes
  • Maintain strong relationships with law schools, legal search firms, and industry organizations
  • Track recruiting data and metrics via applicant tracking systems
  • Collaborate with firm leadership on partner hiring and strategic initiatives
  • Develop and oversee recruiting budgets
  • Support alumni engagement efforts in coordination with Marketing & Business Development

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of legal recruiting experience, preferably in a law firm
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and project management abilities
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced setting
  • High level of discretion and sound judgment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems
