Job summary

Selective Insurance in Short Hills, NJ invites college students to join the Ignite Internship program for summer 2027. This 11-week, full-time experience offers on-the-job assignments, team projects, exposure to senior leadership, and a community volunteer day to help you build relationships across the organization.

The Records and Information Management team oversees policy, processes, and procedures to identify, maintain, preserve, and destroy records as required by law.

Qualifications

• Must be a current college student (Class of 2028 preferred).
• Demonstrate an interest in learning about the insurance industry.
• Experience with Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required.
• College credit can be earned depending on your institution's requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conducts legal research and analysis of various insurance specific and related topics.
• Provides written and oral responses to queries.
• Filing, locating, pulling and classifying a variety of different materials.
• Assembling and arranging policies, documents, manuals, and presentations.
• Performing other duties in support of department or function assigned.
