Job summary

CFSB is seeking a Legal Process Analyst to handle subpoenas and other legal requests, coordinating with law enforcement and federal/state agencies. The role involves compiling responsive information, managing e-discovery, and ensuring timely, accurate responses.

A law degree is required; non-lawyers with relevant experience may be considered with adjusted titles. The candidate must manage multiple tasks, be detail-oriented, and work closely with the Bank’s General Counsel and US attorney.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience; a law degree is required for this position, but non-lawyers with relevant prior experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for external parties regarding subpoenas and legal requests.
• Review and prepare responses to subpoenas and government agency requests for customer account information.
• Research account systems of record to compile requested information with business lines.
• Coordinate with Bank’s fintech partners to assemble responsive information.
• Draft and provide legal hold notices.
• Manage e-discovery and review emails and other correspondence related to subpoenas.
• Evaluate information from all business lines for completeness and accuracy per subpoena requests.
• Maintain knowledge of laws affecting subpoena compliance and update procedure documents.
• Communicate with agencies to resolve ambiguous requests.
• Notate request/response information in the system of record.
• Manage workload to meet team benchmarks and deadlines.
• Assist with team admin, reporting, and special projects as needed.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience

Law degree (required for position)

3+ years of experience in a similar role
