Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a Communications Specialist (Public Relations) to advance the firm's visibility through targeted media relations. You will collaborate with attorneys and cross-functional teams to craft stories highlighting practice areas and major achievements.

You will pitch to journalists, secure placements, and manage relationships while staying ahead of media trends. This role supports a hybrid work schedule and requires a proactive, results-driven communicator with strong writing

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
Minimum 5 years' experience in Marketing, Public relations, Journalism, or a similar field.
Proven track record of securing media coverage and building journalist relationships.

Responsibilities

Help create and implement media relations strategies aligned with firm goals.
Collaborate with attorneys and Communications, Marketing and Business Development to craft compelling storylines.
Proactively pitch ideas to secure placements in relevant outlets.
Maintain media relationships and monitor evolving media landscape.
Handle additional duties as assigned.
