The Legal Assistant - Pleadings supports Attorneys and the Legal Department with data entry, document analysis, and court procedure knowledge. The role monitors incoming communications, maintains court calendars, and ensures proper file handling across state procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; college is a plus.
• Experience in a professional work environment; prior legal experience is a plus.
• Strong work ethic, problem-solving mindset, and highly motivated to learn.

Responsibilities

• Data entry of pleadings, court documents, and future court dates in the Firm’s collection database
• Document analysis and application of court procedure ensure accurate data entry of legal pleadings
• Review incoming communications regarding Firm accounts, identifying and logging key information and milestones in the legal workflow
• Ensures state and county specific procedure is properly applied to all pleadings
• Work closely with legal teams to escalation priority items and confirm proper file handling as needed
