Legal.io is working with a Financial Services Company to bring a detail-oriented Legal Operations Analyst to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you'll manage the e-billing system (Simple Legal) and outside counsel relationships, and ensure compliance with our billing guidelines.

Scope of Work

Title: Legal Operations Analyst (Secondment)

Experience: 3+ Years

Location: Remote (United States)

Duration: 5 Months (July - December)

Pay Rate: $45 - $55 / hr

Outside Counsel and E-Billing Management

• Maintain accurate matter and vendor data within the e-billing system
• Serve as the primary point of contact for billing inquiries from law firms
• Monitor compliance with outside counsel guidelines
• Assist with onboarding new law firms to our e-billing platform
• Collaborate with the legal and finance teams to improve budget forecasting
• Manage the legal invoice approval process through our e-billing platform
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies with outside counsel
• Generate and analyze billing-related reports
• Facilitate the timekeeper review process

Data Analytics & Reporting

• Prepare reports tracking key metrics on legal spend and outside counsel matter management
• Prepare quarterly business reviews for leadership on outside counsel performance

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Triaging email

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in legal operations, preferably in e-billing and/or vendor management
• Experience with e-billing platforms (SimpleLegal)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and relationship management abilities
• Knowledge of legal billing practices
• Proficiency with data analysis tools
