Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) is seeking a Legal Operations professional to administer its legal technology tools, support the document management system, and participate in new technology selection and implementation.

The role requires 2+ years in legal operations or related fields, strong organizational and project management skills, and proficiency in Microsoft 365. The base salary ranges from $73,000 to $98,000 USD annually with potential for an annual bonus.

What We’re Looking For

BS/BA degree (Legal Studies or related field preferred).

• 2+ years of experience in legal operations, project management, or a related function.
• Strong organizational, project management, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and comfort learning new technologies.
• Experience with legal billing systems, document management tools, and budgeting processes is desirable.
• Strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Interest or foundational understanding of AI technologies and platforms.

What Success Looks Like

Within one year, you will independently manage MISO’s corporate controlled document program and legal e‑billing platform, contribute meaningfully to Legal Department initiatives, and build strong cross‑departmental relationships that enhance the effectiveness of our legal operations.

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $73,000-$98,000 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience.

Position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met.
