Job summary

Rockland Trust is offering a Summer Legal Intern position in its Commercial Banking Corporate Legal Department in Rockland, MA. You will work with in-house attorneys on real-world corporate and banking matters.

As a 2L JD student, you will conduct research, assist with due diligence, negotiate contracts under supervision, and contribute to governance matters while developing professional skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited JD program with strong academic performance.
• Coursework in corporate law, banking law, or securities law preferred but not required.
• Availability to work a regular 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. schedule throughout the internship.
• Completed second year of law school (2L preferred).

Responsibilities

• Partner with attorneys to support a variety of ongoing legal matters.

• Review and assist in negotiating commercial contracts under attorney supervision.

• Help maintain legal forms, templates, policies, and procedures.

Summer Legal Intern, Commercial Banking Corporate Legal Department

The Commercial Bank Corporate Legal Department is seeking a second‑year law student (2L) for our Summer Internship Program.
