Mercor is seeking a Legal Expert — Tier 1 Specialist (Project Donna) for remote engagement. The contract requires independent, precise English work on synthetic legal matters, reviewing blinded AI deliverables, and writing clear rationales. Flexible 24–30 hours per week with strict deadlines and NDA; no external AI tool use on project materials.

Legal Expert — Tier 1 Specialist (Project Donna)
Type: Contract
Compensation: $150–$156/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 24–30 hours

Role Responsibilities

• Read synthetic legal matters and their underlying documents.
• Review six blinded AI deliverables for each matter.
• Conduct five head-to-head comparisons against a common comparator output.
• Write specific rationales for each preference.
• Ensure work aligns with specialism: sanctions and export controls, structured finance and securitisation, or life sciences and pharmaceutical regulatory.
• Work independently and adhere to deadlines.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Qualified lawyer with deep, current practice experience in one of the specialisms.
• Ability to judge work product holistically for correctness, completeness, judgment, and usefulness.
• Precise written English.
