Job Description

RR Donnelley is adding a Legal Document Specialist to their onsite 3rd Shift team. We are seeking a Word Processing professional to work onsite in our Downtown Phoenix office. The role supports time-sensitive project requests by collaborating with a team across multiple shifts and locations. Candidates should enjoy producing quality work and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Knowledge in legal word/document processing using various software tools and the Microsoft Office suite is an added advantage.

Onsite Shift Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM

Training: Monday - Friday 9 AM - 5 PM

Hourly Pay Rate: $19.19 + $3.00/hr. shift premium.

This role is eligible for a $2,000.00 Sign-On Bonus

Responsibilities

• Create, edit and format legal documents to firm specifications using a variety of software applications
• Convert, clean and format documents to/from different file formats
• Create charts, graphs, tables, and spreadsheets as requested
• Create and/or edit Tables of Authorities and Table of Contents
• Perform data entry utilizing various software applications
• Transcribe analog or digital dictation files
• Restore/recover corrupted document files as necessary
• Provide telephone help desk support to troubleshoot application queries
• Complete all assigned jobs by the deadline in an accurate and timely manner
• Handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information
• Follow established policies and procedures at all times
• Perform additional duties as necessary or assigned
• Other duties as assigned

Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree with 3+ years experience in legal word processing or document production environment preferred
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office programs including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint required
• Experience and exposure in legal word processing tasks including creating TOAs/TOCs, inserting automated cross-references, converting PDFs to Word, applying Word styles using macros, troubleshooting problem documents including redlines and multi-numbering schemes
• Transcription experience a plus
• Knowledge of legal terminology and legal citations preferred

Additional Information

The rate of pay for this role at the noted RRD location is $19.19/hour. Typically, roles follow step progressions to target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, total compensation may include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
