Job summary

The Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law offers an in-person DC internship to support the Legal Department with administrative tasks, research, and writing. The role provides exposure to policy analysis and strategic legal thinking working closely with the General Counsel.

Hours are approximately 10-20 per week; pay is $18.40 per hour for Spring Semester 2027. Applicants should share interest and contributions in the cover letter and apply by the stated deadline.

Qualifications

• Independent self-starter with high integrity and discretion.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and punctual.
• Excellent research, writing and analytical skills.
• Experience with Windows, Excel, and Word; information-management experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data entry related to litigation matters.
• Compile template litigation pleadings and court rules.
• Review and update litigation-related website content.
• Prepare and update staff guidance documents.
• Research special projects as assigned.
