Job description

We are a growing multi-site business operating across the UK, currently seeking a remote,mid-level Legal Counsel to join our team. This is a key support role working closely with our internal legal advisor, HR, and operations functions.

This is a permanent employment position (not freelance), open to candidates located anywhere in the UK. Occasional travel to London may be requested, but the role is remote by default.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial Contracts: Assist in the drafting, review, and negotiation of various agreements, including supplier contracts, service agreements, and NDAs.
• Company Law: Provide guidance on UK company law matters, director obligations, and corporate governance.
• Document Review & Management: Support the preparation, review, and organization of legal documents such as: Property leases Franchise agreements Trademarks and intellectual property documentation

Legal Support: Offer day-to-day legal input on internal matters, including employment, data protection (GDPR), risk management, and regulatory compliance. Work in partnership with our internal legal advisor to support legal operations and help develop internal processes.

Candidate Profile

UK-qualified solicitor or legal counsel with 3–6 years PQE. Strong working knowledge of UK company law and commercial contracts. Prior in-house experience (or a mix of private practice and in-house) preferred. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Organised, proactive, and commercially minded. Based in the UK and able to work independently from home.
