The Legal Counsel, GI2 Therapy Area, Strategy and Portfolio Development role is a Senior Director level position reporting to the Head Counsel, GI Business Unit. This role is responsible for providing expert legal advice, interpreting laws and regulations, and leading legal risk management efforts to support Takeda’s business objectives and patient-focused mission. The position partners with U.S. and global Commercial, Research & Development, Strategy, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, solution-oriented legal counsel, support product commercialization and lifecycle management strategies, and help drive cross-functional and cross-product initiatives. The role ensures business strategies align with legal and regulatory requirements, conducts comprehensive legal analyses on complex and high-risk matters, and provides legal support across Takeda’s brands, assets, and functions as needed.
