Job Juncture in New York is seeking an experienced attorney to oversee contract management, insurance, and risk mitigation for architecture and interior design projects. The role blends law firm and in‑house exposure, with emphasis on design‑professional liability and multi‑state compliance.

The position offers a hybrid schedule: four days in the New York office and one remote day, with annual salary ranging from $135,000 to $155,000 based on experience.

Qualifications

• JD degree required from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in good standing.
• 4–7 years of legal experience in construction law, real estate development, or design‑professional liability.
• Deep understanding of architectural/interior design lifecycle, procurement risks, mechanics' liens, and insurance structures.

Responsibilities

• Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate owner‑architect agreements, purchasing agreements, consultant contracts, and vendor terms.
• Insurance Oversight: Manage the firm's insurance portfolio, including E&O, CGL, and EPLI.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify and resolve design liability issues, disputes, and delay claims before they arise.
• Intellectual Property: Protect proprietary designs, furniture concepts, and digital assets via copyrights, trademarks, and NDAs.
• Compliance & Licensing: Monitor compliance, sales tax on FF&E, and multi‑state licensing for designers and architects.
