Because we believe that your career path should be as unique as you are.## ## ## **Group Summary:**The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.Recognized globally as an innovator in all aspects of vehicle exteriors, Magna provides everything needed, from materials development and design through manufacturing and assembly, to help automakers create sleek, state-of-the-art vehicles across the world.**Job Responsibilities:**• Work closely with the Magna Exteriors General Counsel on all legal matters relating to the operations of Magna Exteriors in North America, including contract negotiations with customers and suppliers, leases and real estate related transactions, employment matters, acquisitions and joint venture transactions and management of dispute resolution matters, including litigation.• Provide practical legal advice and support to the Exteriors Group Management and operating management teams on a variety of business issues.• Work with external legal advisors to ensure that external legal services are managed efficiently and cost-effectively.• Coordinate projects and issues management with Magna Legal Counsel colleagues at other Magna Groups, Magna’s Corporate Office and in regional offices in Europe, China and Mexico.• Actively participate in the training and other initiatives in connection with Magna’s Legal Compliance program.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.**Experience/Skills**-Licensed Attorney-Four to ten years of experience as a corporate and commercial attorney obtained in a reputable private firm or as legal counsel in a law department of a major corporation.In addition, the successful candidate will have the following competencies:• Excellent corporate and commercial legal skills, including the ability to effectively draft and negotiate contracts and focus on details while not losing sight of the big picture.• Solid business acumen and judgment, including the ability to set priorities, align plans and work effectively with multiple stakeholders to develop practical solutions to a broad range of legal and business problems. • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and to be persuasive in a manner that is both direct and diplomatic, combined with an ability to build solid relationships across a diverse group of business people with a wide array of professional backgrounds.• The ability and desire to work independently on the “front lines” of the business, with limited direct supervision.Physical Demands/Work Environment - Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer, travel required.## **Awareness, Unity, Empowerment:**At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
