Service Experts is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel IV to join our in-house team in Richardson, TX. You will provide strategic legal guidance across transactions, real estate, licensing, and employment matters, while collaborating with stakeholders and outside counsel.

The role requires a JD from an accredited law school, active bar license, and at least six years of relevant experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.

Responsabilidades

• Draft, negotiate, and provide post-execution support for a wide range of B2B transactions (construction contracts, real estate leases, asset purchase agreements, software licensing, marketing, NDAs).
• Advise HR and managers on employment-law issues including investigations, handbook drafting/enforcement, background checks, payroll, and leave/workplace accommodations.
• Oversee outside counsel and manage litigation matters, from pre-litigation to resolution.

The successful candidate will provide legal guidance across a variety of practice areas, working closely with colleagues in the legal department, internal stakeholders in other departments, and outside legal counsel.Key Responsibilities:The Legal Counsel IV is expected to possess at least six years of experience handling a combination of the following matters:Transactional Work: Draft, negotiate, and provide post-execution support for a wide-range of business-to-business transactions, including:Construction contracts;Real estate leases;Asset purchase agreements;Software licensing agreements;Marketing agreements; andNon-disclosure agreementsEmployment Law: Advise HR professionals and business managers on employment-related issues such as:Employee misconduct investigations;Employee handbook drafting and enforcement;Background checks and payroll practices; andLeave requests and workplace accommodationDispute Resolution and Litigation Management:Resolve pre-litigation claims brought by customers, business partners, and former employees;Oversee and manage outside legal counsel in active litigation mattersRequired Qualifications:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolLicensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdictionAt least six years of relevant legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal departmentStrong drafting, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentPractical, business-minded approach to legal risk-assessment and problem-solvingWhat Do We Offer You as a Service Experts Employee?
