Adecco is seeking a commercially minded attorney for a broad, hands-on Legal Counsel, Americas role based in Monroe, NC. You’ll partner with business leaders to manage a wide range of legal matters and provide practical guidance in a regulated, manufacturing-driven environment, helping the organization navigate complex contracts and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • JD or equivalent law degree with a strong academic background
  • Admission to a U.S. state bar; North Carolina admission strongly preferred
  • 3 to 7 years of legal experience
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Ability to assess legal risk and provide clear, practical business advice
  • Comfortable working independently while partnering closely with business leaders
  • Ability to work on-site in Monroe, NC at least four days per week
  • Willigness to travel to sites in Pennsylvania and Texas on an as-needed basis

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements across the Americas
  • Advising business leaders on legal and compliance risks related to commercial arrangements and day-to-day operations
  • Providing guidance on U.S. employment law, with a focus on North Carolina, Texas and Pennsylvania
  • Supporting contract lifecycle management and maintaining the regional contract database
  • Conducting legal research across multiple jurisdictions and translating findings into practical business guidance
  • Advising on areas including competition, intellectual property, data privacy and employment law
  • Supporting compliance programs, internal investigations and compliance documentation
  • Assisting with internal and external audits and compliance training
  • Managing relationships with outside counsel
  • Supporting responses to regulatory inspections and inquiries

We are partnering with a growing, global organization to find a Legal Counsel, Americas to support legal and compliance activities across North and South America.

This is an opportunity to work closely with business leaders, take ownership of a wide variety of legal matters and provide practical guidance in a regulated, manufacturing-driven environment.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements across the Americas
  • Advising business leaders on legal and compliance risks related to commercial arrangements and day-to-day operations
  • Providing guidance on U.S. employment law, with a focus on North Carolina, Texas and Pennsylvania

What We're Looking For
  • JD or equivalent law degree with a strong academic background

Preferred Experience
  • Law firm or Big Law training
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing, medical device, diagnostics or other regulated organization
  • Familiarity with FDA and/or medical device regulations
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 9001, EU MDR or IVDR
  • International or cross-border legal experience
  • Spanish, Portuguese or German language skills
