Job summary

MPI is seeking a Legal Counsel to advise on contracts, compliance, and regulatory matters for the industrial and manufacturing sector. The role supports management, drafts and negotiates agreements, and coordinates with internal teams and external counsel.

Travel to offices may be required as part of a hybrid/remote arrangement. The Successful Applicant will have 4+ years of legal experience, a JD or LLM, and may benefit from Spanish or French language skills.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of legal experience (in-house, private practice, or combo).
• JD or LLM degree required.
• Spanish or French language skills highly beneficial.
• Experience in industrial/manufacturing sector desirable but not essential.
• Expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess legal risks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for advising management and collaborating with internal teams.
• Highly collaborative, working with counterparts across the global legal function.

Job Description

The Legal Counsel will be responsible for:

• Providing legal counsel on a wide range of issues, including reviewing and negotiating contracts, compliance, and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to safeguard the company's interests.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations relevant to the industrial and manufacturing sector.
• Advise management on legal risks and recommend strategies to mitigate potential issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide legal support on business transactions and projects.
• Manage relationships with external legal counsel when necessary.
• Stay updated on changes to laws and regulations that may impact the company.
• Assist in resolving disputes and managing litigation matters as required.
