PalAmerican Security is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide practical, risk-based guidance across employment law, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance for a large multi-state security services organization.

The role emphasizes leading the Legal and Compliance team and partnering with senior leadership to support business growth while maintaining strong ethical and compliance standards in a flexible remote work setting.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with an active U.S. license.
• 5+ years of employment law experience, in law firm or in-house preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws and compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with high emotional intelligence.
• Ability to provide clear, actionable advice under time pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal advisor on employment law matters, including recruiting, discipline, wage and hour compliance, and employee relations.
• Provide strategic legal guidance on commercial contracts, operational risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and oversee the Legal and Compliance team, managing paralegals, compliance specialists, and external legal resources.
• Manage employment litigation, administrative claims, and workplace investigations with sound judgment and responsiveness.
• Develop and deliver training programs on employment law compliance and workplace ethics.
