Job summary

Flow is expanding its legal team and seeks a pragmatic corporate counsel to support corporate matters, commercial contracts, and real estate transactions across Florida, Delaware, and international subsidiaries.

The role partners with business teams to align legal strategy with growth, handles complex agreements, and coordinates with outside counsel on litigation and regulatory matters. A strong candidate will be admitted to practice in FL or NY and have 2–5 years in corporate transactional work.

Qualifications

• Must be admitted to practice law and in good standing in Florida or New York.
• 2–5 years’ corporate transactional and commercial experience at a top firm or in-house in real estate/PropTech.
• Experience with multi-entity structures and subsidiary governance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Structure, draft, review, negotiate, and interpret a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor and property management contracts.
• Partner with business teams to align legal strategy with business goals.
• Maintain and manage the corporate structure across Florida, Delaware, and international subsidiaries.
• Coordinate with outside counsel on litigation, real estate closings, permitting, and regulatory matters.
• Support landlord-tenant operations, including lease compliance and resident disputes at the property level.
• Advise on novel, sophisticated legal issues and manage relationships with partners and customers.
• Handle ad hoc requests from stakeholders and provide cross-functional legal support (employment, privacy, licensing, construction).

About the Role

We’re expanding the legal team at Flow and looking for a pragmatic and commercial legal counsel to serve as a key partner to our business teams on corporate matters, commercial contracts, real estate transactions, and more. As part of a growing legal team, you also may be called on to help in other areas as well, such as operational legal issues in our communities.

Responsibilities

• Structure, draft, review, analyze, negotiate, and interpret a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor agreements and property management agreements
• Partner closely with business teams to pair legal strategy to business strategy
• Maintain our complex corporate structure across Florida, Delaware, and international subsidiaries, including drafting written consents, officer certificates, board resolutions, and maintaining our entity org chart
• Coordinate with outside counsel on litigation, real estate closings, permitting, and regulatory matters
• Support landlord-tenant legal operations, including reviewing adverse action notices, lease compliance, and resident dispute escalations at the property level
• Proactively identify and advise on novel, sophisticated issues
• Manage strategic relationships, including partners, counterparties, customers, etc.
• Respond to ad hoc requests from a variety of stakeholders
• Provide support on employment, privacy, licensing, and construction matters as needed

Ideal Background

• 2–5 years’ experience in general corporate transactional and commercial work at a top firm, or comparable in house experience at a real estate operating company, PropTech startup, or similar high-growth company
• Detail-oriented with a passion for organization
• Experience with commercial real estate, landlord-tenant law, or residential property operations preferredExposure to multi-entity corporate structures and subsidiary governance a plus
• Self-starter who can manage agreements through their entire life cycle
• Flexible and able to set and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Highly ethical and able to question and defend with an open mind
• Must be admitted to practice law and remain in good standing with the state bar in the jurisdiction where the position is based (Florida or New York).

$170,000 - $190,000 a year
