Job description

Legal Contracts Specialist, Part-Time
Location

Remote, within the Continental US.

As a Legal Contracts Specialist, you’ll be responsible for reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and managing contractual agreements to ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies. You will work closely with the legal team to create legally sound contracts while balancing business objectives. Key duties include analyzing proposals, identifying potential risks, drafting contract terms, negotiating with vendors, and maintaining accurate contract records.

Starting Salary Range

$32.36 to $40.45 per hour

Part-Time

10 – 20 hours per week, with the option for additional hours through 5/1/2025. Work hours are based on Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Contract drafting and review: Prepare, review, and edit standard and non-standard contracts, including NDAs, service agreements, purchase agreements, privacy/security agreements, license agreements, and miscellaneous agreements, ensuring clarity and legal accuracy.
  2. Contract negotiation: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to negotiate contract terms with vendors, clients, and other parties, aiming to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
  3. Compliance management: Ensure contracts adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including data privacy and intellectual property considerations.
Qualifications
  1. Strong understanding of contract law and legal principles.
  2. Excellent writing and editing skills to draft clear and concise contracts.
  3. Negotiation skills to reach favorable agreements.
  4. Analytical skills to assess potential risks and compliance issues.
  5. Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in contract documentation.
  6. Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or related field and/or proven experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and management.
Preferred

Experience with contract licensing, copyright law, and privacy agreements.
