We seek an experienced Transactions Attorney to support Blackstone Private Equity Strategies. The role involves leading complex transactions such as M&A, structured and minority investments, and securities offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate law within a fast-paced, global environment, providing expert legal advice to investment teams and portfolio companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage legal transactions including mergers, acquisitions, structured investments, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents like bid letters, term sheets, and definitive agreements.
  • Advise on legal, structuring, and regulatory matters (e.g., antitrust, securities laws).
  • Coordinate with operations, tax, fund, and compliance teams on transaction processes and investor matters.
  • Guide portfolio companies on governance, regulatory, risk management, and compliance issues.
  • Work with external counsel and internal teams to ensure compliance and smooth transaction execution.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of legal experience, focusing on private equity and investments.
  • Deep understanding of legal and regulatory issues affecting private equity and portfolio companies.
  • Sound judgment and ability to advise senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and bar admission in the practice state.

The role's duties may evolve and additional responsibilities may be assigned at Blackstone's discretion.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $250,000 annually, based on experience, skills, and location. Compensation outside the US will follow local market standards.
