Qualifications

• Current enrollment as a law student at an accredited law school (1L only).
• Has at least a B average at end of 1L year and high grades in Legal Writing.
• Financial Services industry experience preferred.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with updating testing, and enhancement of compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Conduct legal research and application of rules to Firm practices.
• Draft, review, and summarize memoranda and other internal legal communications.
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations and educational resources to present to business teams.
• Collaborate with colleagues on special projects involving regulatory developments, governance initiatives, and operational process improvements.
• Design and complete a capstone project focused on a legal, regulatory, or compliance-related topic, culminating in a presentation of recommendations and key findings to the firm.
