NC Associates is proud to be partnering with a well-regarded law firm to find their next Legal Cashier — someone who thrives on accuracy, loves keeping things compliant, and wants to be a key part of a tight-knit team.

Legal Cashier Responsibilities
  • Managing all financial transactions in line with the Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Carrying out reconciliations, client ledger postings, and TT/BACS payments
  • Processing bills, credit notes, expenses, and petty cash
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Producing accurate month-end reports and keeping the finance admin ticking over
  • Using Leap for case management and Xero for business transactions
  • Solving routine queries and keeping things moving smoothly
Legal Cashier Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience as a Legal Cashier or in a similar finance-related role
  • A solid understanding of accounting principles and credit control
  • High accuracy levels and eagle-eyed attention to detail
  • Confidence working under pressure in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills to liaise across the practice
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Professional integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
