Wilshire Law Firm, a premier California personal injury practice, seeks a Legal Assistant in the Personal Injury Pre-Litigation group to support our paralegals and attorneys in pursuing substantial cases through pre-litigation. The role requires 1+ year drafting complaints, proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Spanish is a plus; PI experience is highly valued. Typing speed of 40 WPM is expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience drafting complaints.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Experience in Personal Injury law is highly preferred.
• Type at least 40 WPM.

• Prepare documents for filing.
• Draft complaints and minor's compromises.
• Understand and monitor court deadlines and statutes of limitations.
• Communicate with clients in an effective and courteous manner.

The Opportunity

As our Legal Assistant in our Personal Injury Pre-Litigation department, you will have the opportunity to assist our Paralegals and Attorneys in progressing our wrongful death, TBI, catastrophic injury, and major orthopedic cases through pre-litigation.

Accountable for

• Prepare documents for filing.


• Draft complaints and minor's compromises.


• Understand and monitor court deadlines and statute of limitations.


• Communicate with clients in an effective and courteous manner.


• Prioritize and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) of experience drafting complaints.


• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


• Ability to work in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.

• Experience working in Personal Injury law a huge plus.

Compensation

• $21.64-$31.25/hourly ($45,000 - $65,000) depending on experience, plus performance-based incentives
