Job Overview – Legal Assistant (Estates and Wills):Compensation: $55,000 – $70,000/yearLocation: Montgomery County, PASchedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)Step into a key role as a Legal Assistant (Estates and Wills) in Montgomery County, PA, supporting probate filings, estate administration, and inheritance tax documentation for our client’s estate planning practice. This in-office role is ideal for legal professionals with experience in Pennsylvania estate law. You’ll manage court filings, maintain deadlines, and support attorneys with client communications and case tracking.Responsibilities as the Legal Assistant:
  • Estate Document Preparation: Draft probate and estate administration forms for attorney review, including petitions and inheritance tax filings.
  • Client Coordination: Gather estate details, track deadlines, and assist clients through probate and estate tax processes.
  • Court & Filing Management: Schedule Register of Wills appearances and manage court/tax deadlines using internal systems.
  • Records & Documentation: Maintain organized legal files and ensure timely submission of estate-related forms and accountings.
  • Team Support: Conduct legal research and collaborate with attorneys and staff to manage multiple estate cases effectively.
Qualifications for the Legal Assistant:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies or a related field preferred.
  • Certification: Paralegal Certificate required.
  • Experience: 3-5years as a legal assistant or paralegal, with expertise in estate administration, probate, and inheritance tax filings.
  • Technical Skills:Proficient in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to accurately manage both electronic and paper filing systems.
  • Skills & Attributes:Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines and sensitive matters independently in a team environment.
