Job description

PJI Law, PLC, a boutique, busy, and fast-growing law firm in Fairfax, Virginia, has a new full-time opportunity for what we call a “Case Coordinator”. The position is as challenging as it is rewarding, and is ideal for a go-getter with a strong work ethic who is looking for a position in which to grow. We are looking for someone with some experience in the legal field, and additional training will be provided.

Your duties as Case Coordinator would include:

  • Managing the onboarding process for new clients.
  • Serving as clients’ primary point of contact for certain cases.
  • Assisting attorneys with all case-related support, and helping them protect their time.
  • Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and vendors by phone and email.
  • Preparing and sending documents, letters, emails, and faxes.
  • Photocopying, scanning, and organizing documents into the case management system.
  • Ensuring clients are hearing from us regularly, and are receiving high quality service.
  • Identifying opportunities to maximize client satisfaction with our firm through gifting, referrals, or additional legal services.
  • As a team player, you would also be prepared to support all of the firm’s other positions as necessary, and to serve as backup for other team members when appropriate.

Our firm exists to help those who wish to plan for the legal protection and security of their families and businesses, sometimes in the wake of a personal or professional loss, and this position is crucial in allowing us to effectively help them.

This position requires a person who is positive, energetic, and friendly, who enjoys talking to people, and who possesses a natural inclination to want to help anyone they’re talking to. If you are “moody”, or don’t believe you can treat a call on a late Friday afternoon with the same spirit, care and attention as a call on a Tuesday morning, then this position is not for you.

Our firm offers long-term growth opportunities, and we maintain reasonable expectations in order to allow for a sustainable work-life balance. Our firm is well managed, and our office is a team environment, and you will be working with other friendly, kind, and wonderful members of our team who work hard to get the job done right, who take pride in their work, and who support each other through thick and thin.

In each 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 we earned the prestigious “Great Place to Work” certification, with an average of 95% of our employees over those four years praising our firm as a “great place to work” in an anonymous third-party survey. Our approach and culture has given us what we need to build a loyal client base that has sustained our strong growth and has earned us various awards as well as enthusiastic client reviews.

In an effort to preserve the integrity of our culture, we are selective in our efforts to identify good people who are also motivated professionals. If this is what you are looking for, then we would love to hear from you.

Additional qualifications include:

  • Ability to multitask, be flexible, think on your feet, adapt to change and to changing priorities, and make decisions based on good common sense.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to genuinely connect with people.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to closely follow established policies and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail, including impeccable spelling and grammar.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to learn new software and technology.
  • Ability to go the entire workday without checking Facebook/Instagram/etc.
  • Some experience in the legal field (particularly in civil litigation)
  • You must have a car, as it will sometimes be needed for job-related duties.

Compensation is in the range of $50,000 to $60,000+ per year including bonus payments, with potential for further compensation growth. A significant part of the compensation will consist of an objective, metrics-driven bonus plan that gives you more control over what you can earn, and that ensures that you succeed when you help the firm succeed.

Additional benefits include:

  • Work-from-home Mondays
  • Health/dental/vision insurance
  • A retirement plan with a generous employer match
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Paid holidays
  • Paid time off
  • A full estate plan
  • Fun and growth-driven team events
  • Complimentary snacks and beverages
  • Free and convenient parking
  • A beautiful, new, and clean work environment.
