  • Collect, examine, and organize evidence for attorney review and case preparation.
  • Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, such as pleadings and contracts.
  • Research regulations, laws, and articles to aid reports and case files.
  • Assist with client billing by preparing, finalizing, and sending bills and resolving issues with billing attorney.
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions with clients and witnesses.
  • Manage and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems.
  • Provide general administrative support like calendar maintenance and travel arrangements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Summary

We are seeking a qualifiedLegal Assistant to join our team. As a Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the law firm's day-to-day operations, including carrying out administrative services and supporting the legal team. This position's ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic workplace.

Responsibilities
  • Perform administrative duties, such as scheduling calendar hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics
  • Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
  • Implement and improve upon administrative processes for more efficient workflow
  • Collect, examine, and organize evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation

  • Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business
Qualification
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor’s Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate (preferred)
  • Experience in Workers Compensation, Personal Injury, Premises, First Party or other injury related practice areas (preferred)
  • At least 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant preferably in a law firm setting or in a corporate legal department
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a great attitude and minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including good presentation skills

This role is on-site, which gives you the chance to be fully immersed in the work and gain direct experience alongside the team. We’ve found that being in the office helps new team members get up to speed quickly and feel more connected.

Hourly Range: $24.52 - $28.85 USD
