The United States Space Force is seeking a detail‑oriented administrative professional to support the Staff Judge Advocate’s office. The role focuses on preparing and editing legal documents, maintaining files, and assembling information for reports, under the appropriate supervision.
You will assist with correspondence, records management, and research using available legal resources and databases. Excellent written and oral communication, grammar, and accuracy are required.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade NH-01 (GS-04), or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes producing desired results, in the needed timeframe, with the appropriate level of supervision through the use of appropriate knowledge, skills, abilities and understanding of the technical requirements of the job. Achieves, demonstrates and maintains the appropriate qualifications necessary to assume and execute key acquisition and/or support requirements.
Successfully completed four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the NH-01 level (GS-04) level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the NH-02 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
