Job summary

Price Benowitz, LLP is seeking a fully remote Legal Assistant to support our Virginia Family Law team in a flexible, fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of professional client communication, with strong administrative skills. Prior Family Law experience is not required; legal or corporate admin backgrounds are welcome.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in a legal, corporate, administrative, or other professional office environment is preferred.
• Previous law firm or legal support experience is a plus, but Family Law experience is not required.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal (C1–C2 level).
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and client-service skills.
• Professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Comfortable learning new technology and case-management systems.
• Ability to work independently, take direction, and collaborate effectively with a remote team.
• Reliable, responsive, and proactive approach to completing assigned work.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative and legal support to Family Law attorneys.
• Prepare, proofread, format, and organize correspondence, legal documents, and other case-related materials.
• Organize and maintain electronic client files with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients regarding appointments, document requests, and routine case updates.
• Schedule client meetings, hearings, mediations, depositions, and other case-related appointments.
• Maintain attorney calendars and assist with tracking important deadlines.
• Assist with court filings and the organization of documents, exhibits, and case materials.
• Coordinate professionally with courts, opposing counsel, clients, and other third parties.
• Ensure tasks and follow-ups are completed accurately and on time.
• Perform other administrative and legal support duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Family Law Department is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to remotely support our Virginia Family Law team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with strong administrative and communication skills. Previous Family Law experience is not required. While prior experience in a law firm or legal environment is preferred, we are also open to candidates with strong professional or corporate administrative experience who demonstrate excellent judgment, organization, communication, and follow-through.

The ideal candidate is someone who can manage multiple priorities, communicate professionally with clients and colleagues, and consistently produce accurate, high-quality work in a fast-paced remote environment.

The position is fully remote, with required working hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time.

Compensation

$8–$9 USD per hour. Candidate placement within the stated compensation range will be determined at Price Benowitz’s discretion based on experience, skills, and credentials.
