Job description

Title: Legal Assistant

Responsibilities Include:

  • Review and summarize contracts, title reports, surveys, and related documentation
  • Draft and manage estoppels, title endorsements, and closing instructions
  • Serve as liaison with title companies to secure insurance policies and resolve exceptions
  • Coordinate and participate in transaction closings
  • Prepare and manage closing binders and documentation
  • Draft checklists and closing indices
  • Abstract leases and loan documents as needed
  • Prepare documentation for entity formation, qualification, and dissolution in various jurisdictions
  • Maintain accurate records for corporate governance compliance and board actions
  • Draft board and shareholder resolutions; assist in due diligence efforts
  • Assemble and index closing materials for corporate transactions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate required
  • At least 5 years of experience in a law firm environment, specifically with real estate and financing matters
  • Experience with real estate transactions and closings is essential
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple assignments with efficiency
  • Professional demeanor and strong client service orientation
