Job summary

A full-service personal injury law firm in Costa Mesa, CA is looking for an experienced legal assistant to join their team. Responsibilities include communicating with medical providers and clients, compiling medical records, and managing open claims. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in personal injury law, be bilingual in Spanish or Korean, and exhibit excellent organizational and communication skills. This position offers a salary range of $50K-$75K depending on experience, along with medical, dental, and vision benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of personal injury law experience is highly preferred.
• Experience working in a paperless environment is required.
• Ability to work in large teams is essential.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with medical providers and schedule medical appointments.

• Monitor clients' medical treatments and conduct weekly phone calls.

Job description

Elite Sourcing is working with a full-service personal injury law firm in Costa Mesa, CA seeking an experienced legal assistant to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with medical providers, and schedule medical appointments
• Compile and review medical records
• Conduct weekly phone calls with clients, and monitor clients' medical treatments
• Communicate with insurance companies, obtain medical records, and data entry
• Maintain clients’ records by reviewing case notes, and monitoring progress
• Data entry, help prepare demand packages, assist with property damage insurance claims
• Manage open claims and send letters of representation
• Comply with HIPAA regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 2+ years of Personal Injury Law experience is highly preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish or Korean is required
• Ability to work in large teams and be computer savvy. Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite, digital e-filing
• Excellent time management, communicational, organizational, and analytical skills
• Experienced working in a paperless environment
• Must be able to type at least 40 wpm
