Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Comfortable working with high-conflict and sensitive family law matters.
  • Strong judgment, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a close-knit legal team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys handling complex family law matters.
  • Manage case files from inception through resolution, including maintaining deadlines, calendars, pleadings, correspondence, and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare, format, proofread, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, declarations, discovery, and other court filings.
  • Assist with preparation for hearings, depositions, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.
  • Coordinate court filings, service of process, calendaring, and communications with opposing counsel, clients, experts, and courts.
  • Assist with discovery management, including organizing financial records and other case-related documentation.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive client information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Communicate regularly with clients and provide responsive, polished customer service.
  • Assist attorneys with matters involving custody, support, property division, domestic violence, and other family law issues.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical case files and ensure attorneys remain informed of upcoming deadlines and case developments.
  • Work collaboratively with attorneys and other legal professionals in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned legal professional who is comfortable supporting attorneys handling sophisticated and complex family law matters and who takes pride in providing exceptional client service.

The firm focuses exclusively on family law and handles matters involving divorce, child custody, child and spousal support, domestic violence, domestic partnerships, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and complex property division. The team emphasizes personalized representation, strategic case management, negotiation, and litigation when necessary.
